Flashy Patch Quilt
So I finally finished this quilt for my niece. They moved up North, so I wanted to give it to her before they left. So it was an early Christmas present. I wish I had pictures of her with the quilt, but my camera was acting up that night.
The pattern was from a LQS that did a Stashbuster program, and this was one of the patterns. So I pulled out some bright girly colors from my stash and went to work. It is a flannel fabric.
To quilt it, I just stitched in the ditch. I am slowly getting braver to meander. I am taking a quilting class on Friday, so I am excited about that!!
This is my daughter wanting to model the quilt.

All folded and ready to be wrapped up!

Project #1 for Joy in the New Year!
So, I just have to put on a brave face and attempt to stipple this quilt. I have only ever stippled (did I even spell that right??) one other baby blanket before, so it is rather nerve racking. So here is a picture before I attempt to quilt it. I am hoping early next week, when I can sneak away to my mom's to quilt, to have this quilt finished, and on to the next one!
Yikes, I need to touch up my photography skills! :-)

Joy in the New Year!
I am SOOO bad at knowing how to link ANYTHIING! I thought I put the link for this in the link box, but it looks like it has disappeared. Sigh... I don't know if I will ever figure this thing out. I also don't know how to show this picture on the side of my blog. If anyone has any tips for me that would be greatly appreciated!
So anyways, I am joining the Joy in the New Year Challenge. I have agreed to try and finish 6 projects. Some are cut, some are already pieced and need to be quilted, and one needs binding. So here's hoping I can get some stuff done! :-)
I'll keep you posted...

Block of the Month
Well I am trying to accomplish some things, quilting anyways. So I thought I would post a picture of this months "block of the month". This little 12" sucker took me FOREVER to finish. So many little pieces. But it sure looks cute all done!
After I took a picture of it outside yesterday, the doorbell rang, so I ran upstairs to answer the door, leavning the block outside. I totally forgot about it outside, and then a few hours later I realized I had left it outside, and after much searching, I found it on the side of the house in a pile of dirt. Gotta love the wind!! Thankfully I found it, and I just shook it off and it's all good...
